Where possible, aim for whole grains, so swap out white rice for brown (adjust the cooking time by a further 5-10 minutes).

Is there anything more warming than a bowl of soup? This vegetarian-friendly recipe will satisfy even the fussiest eaters. Perfect for a chilly Spring night, when Broccoli and Peas are at their best. Hot tip: Dried split peas are low in cholesterol and high in fiber.
